The Los Angeles County District Attorney's office is declining to prosecute certain sex crime charges against Kevin Spacey, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

In the Spacey case, a man claimed he was sexually assaulted in 1992, but the D.A. concluded it was well beyond the statute of limitations, and "Therefore, an analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of the evidence is not warranted".

The Spacey case, involving an adult male, was presented to Los Angeles prosecutors in April and had been under review.

The statute of limitations reportedly passed in the Spacey and Seagal cases, whereas Anderson's alleged victim "refused to cooperate with investigators", according to Variety.

Spacey, 59, is being investigated in the United Kingdom for six sexual assault claims over 22 years. The district attorney's office added that the case did not involve an underage victim.

Seagal has denied the accusations against him.

The Old Vic theatre said it has received 20 allegations of inappropriate behaviour against Spacey.

Police in London are investigating six criminal cases against him.

Actor Anthony Rapp, 46, told BuzzFeed last October that when he was a teenager, Spacey, then in his 20s, made a sexual advance toward him.

Earlier this year, Regina Simons, an extra who appeared in Seagal's 1994 film On Deadly Ground, accused Seagal of rape after numerous women came forward with accounts of sexual misconduct. The accusation was made less than two weeks after Anderson, 48, received his fourth Emmy nomination for outstanding lead actor in a comedy series for "Black-ish".

Mr Spacey claimed to have no memory of the events but publicly apologised.

As a result, Spacey was sacked from his lead role on House of Cards, and his most recent film, Billionaire Boys Club, bombed at the box office, with a $618 opening weekend - Spacey's career low.
